Sing Spring In 2018 - Booking Information
To Music Coordinators,
Thank you all for signing up to take part in Sing Spring In 2019. This year’s project is even bigger and better, with record numbers of schools joining in with the county’s seventh annual festival of singing.
We hope you’ve managed to access the songs on the Encore Enterprises website (see links above) and made a start on learning them. The commissioned Rainbow Song is there for you to access, alongside the other three. Many thanks to the schools whose pupils contributed ideas for the new song. Sheila Thackwray, our talented local composer, has taken your ideas and woven them into a fabulous song about the treasure at the end of the Rainbow. Try it out now!
What do you do now?
Please complete the booking form* (which can be found to the right) and send it back to us by email or post. We need you to let us know how many pupils will be taking part and which event/s you would like to bring them to. Some schools have chosen to use the free resources in their schools at concerts or fun days and that’s great as well, but we’d still like to know how many pupils will be singing the songs. After all, our aim is to encourage as many pupils to sing as possible during the project.
Learn all four of the songs for your key stage and also one of your own, to showcase your pupils’ talents, and prepare your pupils to sing them all off by heart at your chosen cluster event.
Invite your pupils’ families and friends to join us at the sharing which will be at the end of each cluster event (a draft letter can be found to the right).
If you need support from a singing leader to help your pupils to learn the songs, they will be contacting you very soon to book in up to an hour for each key stage. If you are happy to prepare the songs without a singing leader, then please let us or them know. Further sessions can also be booked at a rate of £35 per hour from ABF Music.
*If your school has already arranged a separate cluster event that isn’t listed, e.g. Riverside, Marlbrook cluster, please complete the numbers section and note the event in the ‘Further information’ section at the end.
We look forward to meeting you at one of the cluster events and hearing children’s voices Singing Spring In, in over half the schools in the county.
Best wishes to you all,
Jenni, Hannah and Bridget
For Encore Enterprises CIC.
