On Saturday 4th November, we have our termly Open Morning at HYM Saturday morning music centre, and would especially like to encourage both music teachers and pupils who are not currently part of the set-up to come along and see what goes on.
We have a number of groups rehearsing at Hereford Sixth Form College on Saturday, and you are invited to come along and wander around the site, seeing whichever groups you like. In some rehearsals there is plenty of space; in ...others, you might need to squash in or wait until others have left. We’ll also have refreshments available all morning and staff will be around to answer any questions you may have.
The timetable for our rehearsals is as follows, and we just request that no-one goes into a rehearsal room within the first or last 10 minutes or so of each rehearsal:
9.15 – 10.30 Starter Concert Band & Starter Strings 9.30 – 10.30 Junior Concert Band, Junior Strings, Intermediate Concert Band, Intermediate Strings, Herefordshire County Youth Band 10.30 – 10.50 Break for all groups (please do join us for refreshments) 10.50 – 11.50 Junior Concert Band, Junior Strings, Intermediate Concert Band, Intermediate Strings, Herefordshire County Youth Band, Ukulele Ensemble 11.50 – 12.00 All instrumental ensembles finish and young people depart the site 12.00 – 1.00 Herefordshire Youth Choir
All rehearsal rooms will be signposted – or do ask!
Please do come along yourselves, as teachers, and also encourage any pupils you have to come. Please feel free to forward this email to your pupils’ parents.
