Sing, Move, Play – Continuous Provision and Music

Encore is excited to present a new project specifically designed to help develop music in EYFS settings. Come join EYFS music specialist Wendy Wilson Goddard for a morning of musical activities focusing on continuous provision in the EYFS setting. The session is open to nursery practitioners working with 3 and 4 year olds. You will also receive a resource pack for your school and there will also be a follow-up visit at an agreed date and time.

Details about the next session can be found here.

This project is supported with grant-funding by:

The Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework

The Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework is the government document which sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to 5. This framework is mandatory for all group and school-based early years providers in England from 4 January 2024. The document can be found here.

Birth to 5 Matters

Birth to 5 Matters has been developed by the Early Years Coalition, composed of 16 early years sector organisations, who came together because they wanted to create a resource which pooled their members’ considerable expertise and experience and keep alive multiple possibilities for the future of early childhood education. The document can be found here.

Musical Development Matters

Musical Development Matters forms part of the legacy of the Tri-Music Together project. The overall purpose of Musical Development Matters is to support practitioners, teachers, musicians and parents to see the musical attributes of young children and to offer ideas as to how they can support and nurture children’s musical development by offering broad musical experiences. The guidance document and online resources can be found here.
