Hereford Cathedral School is once again offering a non-residential Summer Music Course for four days in August based at Hereford Cathedral School.
Depending on the applications received, they hope to offer a number of concert bands, string orchestras, a course orchestra, course choir and several opportunities for chamber music and solo performances. All will be tutored by experienced instrumental staff, and supported by pastoral staff who will also run a ‘games and recreational programme’ during part of each day.
The course will be based around the buildings in Castle Street, using the Music School and Junior School gardens for recreation and picnics and on the Thursday the course will culminate in a Concert at St John’s Church during the late afternoon.
These courses are always well attended, however numbers will be restricted due to space the availability of facilities, but they would welcome young musicians between the ages of 8 and 18 who would be interested in in joining. Applications arriving after the closing date (Friday 29th June) may not be accepted. Successful applicants will receive confirmation at the start of July.
