Independently Delivered WCET

Do you have a member of staff, visiting music teacher, governor, parent or friend of your school who has the musical skill to deliver whole class instrumental tuition? Perhaps you have resources but need a class set of instruments? Would you welcome access to high quality resources? We can help!

‘DIY’ option with Charanga resources

Schools that deliver whole class instrumental teaching and would like access to high-quality online resources have the option to receive a subsidised subscription to Charanga’s ‘Musical School’.  To qualify, schools must deliver whole class instrumental teaching to at least one class for the equivalent of a term. Any melodic instrument counts and includes, for example, recorder, ukulele, keyboard, ocarina, tuned percussion or sets of untuned percussion such as samba or djembe.

Option without Charanga resources

Schools that deliver whole class instrumental teaching to at least one class for the equivalent of a term and do not require access to Charanga’s ‘Musical School’ are eligible to receive a £50 grant to support their projects. Any melodic instrument counts and includes, for example recorder, ukulele, keyboard, ocarina or tuned percussion. You may also use themed sets of untuned instruments such as samba or djembe…. but not simply your music trolley!
